Over the past many years, under the influence of critical theory in the universities, and the socialism so widespread among educators and their union, our schools have begun to resemble institutions devoted more to indoctrination and agents of social engineering than to developing basic skills and knowledge.

Our children must first learn to read, write, and handle elementary maths very well, and then receive a thorough foundation in the humanities and sciences. An overview of the life skills needed to function in our complex technological society is also needed ~ health, personal finance, common technological tasks. Add to these a concern for personal character, that children should be encouraged in honesty, courage, perseverance, kindness, generosity of spirit, responsibility, a willingness to try.

Finally, they must be given a fundamental knowledge of the history and principles that have given rise to the liberty we treasure. They must understand all the attendant freedoms that have established liberty of conscience for Canadian citizens, and the the long history and immense personal cost in treasure and suffering that secured those freedoms.

Please reform our educational institutions as bulwarks of freedom, responsibility and care.

I want to maintain privacy for family as we all have different cultures and ways of living. We don’t need teachers asking prying questions confusing and worrying children making them self conscious. This would be a disservice to our children

Our children do not belong to the state, they belong to us, and above all else they belong to God. So if we want to make it clear that our children do not belong to the state, we need to speak up and take action.
