Brittany Turko: I do like the idea of keeping schools accountable and having healthy competition to improve and gain funding. Although, I do not like the idea of having resources and funding taken away from public schools that may struggle if students are enrolled in more and more private facilities. I strongly believe in equality and inclusivity for all students to access quality education and resources.

I believe the best decisions can be made when you are able to actively hear and see what is happening. If you are responsible for making decisions for others, then you should be doing your best to understand the perspective of those who will be affected by your decisions. Therefore I believe you have to be local.

Brittany Turko: I do like the idea of blending them. I believe at all grade levels every child will understand differently. Some guardians and students may prefer black and white numbers/grades, while others appreciate the words to understand in more detail where there is strength or room for improvement. I personally prefer letter grades, but when I went through it last year with my grade 3 and grade 1 children it worked better for them to have the descriptive grading.
