This is very much needed so that parents can direct the funding to the schools of their choice, including home schooling! Why should a public school get the funding for a child that is not using the public system at all.

I am a homeschool educator. If homeschooling families were given even 50% of the dollars given to their assigned school by the gov. – homeschool families could give their children such a rich education. Many home educating families sacrifice an income in order to teach their children.

This is something we have had trouble with for our kids. We need vouchers!

I would love to see competition in the school system. Different philosophies and curriculums for parents to choose from to best suit their children.

this wouldn’t be necessary except the public system is falling behind and is not serious about education. I have a husband and daughter who are teachers and the stories of what they now have to do instead of teaching is nothing short of ridiculousness. No exams, no late papers, can’t take away cell phones, social studies is a joke, kids & parents rule – teachers may as well go home and hand out each kid 80% for nothing.
