If you take away a safe place for teen moms to finish their education. You are going to drive abortion rates through the roof. Regardless of how anyone feels about it, do we realy want that.

I think teenage pregnancy is bad but I was a irresponsible teenager myself. These young ladies need to be able to receive an education and nurture their children. Both the mother and child deserve that.

Louise Dean must stay open. It’s XXI century. Women need help, support and education.

This critically important program must not be relocated or shuttered.

We need to protect our vulnerable new moms who need support and care and not to be stigmatized and isolated. Education is important for these young women as we owe them a duty of care (to this generation and the next that follows). Why not give these young women the best we can so they can give their children the best they were given. Sticking the young women in Forest Lawn is an idea, but not a very good one. Instead of giving them what they need for success, this would just drive them out of the school system and lead them to poverty and degradation. If we have the ability to do our best for our youth and the generation to come, we owe it to them. Let’s not give our youth the next best option, let’s give them the best we can give them – we owe the next generation everything we have for success.
